Amy cited a paper in which it has been estimated that $1bn per annum was needed to support the protected areas where lions still exist (read the full paper). Amy’s stellar presentation urged companies to exercise their cultural conscience through donations to the Lion’s Share fund. This innovative approach asks companies which use animals as part of their media campaigns to pay back a small percentage towards their conservation and welfare.
